Angel One Fund took part in the Mind Invest Summit in Lviv

Will Ukraine be a new investment mecca after the war? This question, along with strategies and expectations, was discussed during the Mind Invest Summit by Mind media. The panel discussion brought together investors who have already invested and continue to invest during the war.

According to Ivan Petrenko, managing partner of Angel One Fund and CEO of CfE Accelerator UCU, the main pain points currently facing the startup industry in Ukraine are:

1) Business ethics — the ability to establish relationships and communicate effectively with investors, as well as competent reporting;

2) The ability to present oneself and sell the product;

3) A lack of grant funds and programs that would stimulate the emergence of new startups, allowing them to grow and attract larger investments;

4) Considering the great prospects for the development of defense tech in Ukraine, it is important to gain access to high-quality military expertise.

We would like to thank the moderator, Dmytro Kuzmenko, director of Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), and panelists Danylo Yakub, senior partner and operations director of Diligent Capital Partners, Roman Cherepakha, investment director of Horizon Capital, and Dmitriy Mikhailenko, managing partner of Crowe Mikhailenko, for their fruitful discussion and interesting insights.
